Laurie worked in the Information Technology industry for eight years prior to leaving her job as a software analyst at a major law firm to pursue web design and development full time. She studied Website Design and Usability, Search Engine Optimization, XHTML, HTML5, CSS, PHP, MYSQL, and the Adobe Creative Suite at the UCSD Extension, earning certificates in Web Design and Web Publishing. Laurie finds building websites to be very rewarding and fulfilling work, and owning her own business is a dream come true. She lives in San Diego with her husband John and their daughter Gracie.
